Seun Solanke

With over 25 years of experience in technology and telecommunications, Oluwaseun is a seasoned executive and practitioner who has successfully executed various technical and leadership roles across the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. As the Vice President/CIO and Director, Information Technology & Engineering at Airtel Nigeria, he led the digital transformation of the company into next generation BSS solutions, leveraging service automation technologies such as AI/ML/RPA/NLP to deliver improved customer service, innovative products, and new revenue streams.

He is passionate about creating value for businesses and the society through digital innovation and collaboration. And has set up and run a digital lab focused on software engineering and automation, supporting GSM, Enterprise, and Home Broadband lines of business. He has also managed pan-African services across multiple telecom providers and operators, ensuring consistency and standardization of processes and architecture. As the current President of CIO Club Africa, he mentors and coaches other technology leaders and professionals, and shares his expertise in FinTech and RegTech, as well as other emerging technologies such as Blockchain and Big Data.

A two-time winner of the prestigious CIO of the Year Award in Digital Technology and Telecommunications, Oluwaseun is a distinguished alumni of Yale, MIT, Oxford and Morgan State Universities with degrees in Information Systems, Fintech, AI, Management, as well as Pure and Applied Chemistry.

He is married with two boys and enjoys reading, running, and watching tv shows in his spare time.
