Abiola Laseinde

Abiola is the Chief Executive Officer of Edniesal Consulting Limited, a firm offering unique corporate services to clients within different sectors. She is also the Convener of the CIO Club Africa, Nigeria’s first Chief Information Officer Awards (“The CIO Awards”), and The Ladies-in-Tech Network. She is a lawyer, an IT enthusiast and a governance professional with over 20 years of experience garnered from different industries in Nigeria, with a stint in Dubai, UAE. She is a certified IFC Corporate Governance Trainer and a member of the UK Institute of Leadership and Management. She was the Group Company Secretary/Head of Corporate Services of PZ Cussons Africa where she had responsibilities for the Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana Corporate Services Units of the Company. She was also the Executive Secretary of the PZ Cussons Foundation.

Previously, she was the Legal Counsel, West Africa/Deputy Company Secretary at Cadbury Nigeria Plc and Cadbury Ghana (members of the Mondelēz Group of Companies), and was a Senior Trust Executive at the United Bank for Africa Trustees (UBA Trustees). Abiola is a Fellow and a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and currently serves as the Chair of the Corporate Members & Training Committee of ICSAN. She is a past Chair of the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Nigerian Branch, the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).

She is a past President of Caring Sisters Inc, an NGO for the empowerment of women and children and equally serves as a non-Executive Director on the Board of the Strap & Safe Child Foundation, an NGO promoting the safety of children on the road, school and at home. She is a member of the Association of Sustainability Professionals of Nigeria and serves with the Legal Directorate Committee. Abiola has delivered over 60 presentations in 4 countries in the last 10 years on a range of topics including Strategic Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Future of Work, Enterprise Governance, Corporate Secretaryship, Risk Management, Compliance, Stakeholders Management, Sustainability and CSR.
